The Company Nutritionist (CN) manages the nutrition team, which consists of the Asda Brand Nutritionist and students (through the arrangement and supervision of student placements). The CN defines private label nutrition and health policy through the creation and updating of the Asda Health Policy. The CN works with the product development managers, technical managers and suppliers to ensure that new products and existing products are developed to meet the Health Policy. The CN is also responsible for any external communication of Asda’s nutrition and health achievements through the Asda magazine and Health Matters website and also acts as an external representative for the business at relevant stakeholder meetings with the British Retail Consortium, Institute of Grocery Distribution and Food Standards Agency (amongst others). | Responsibilities: |
• Ownership of Private Label Product Health Policy
• Input into Asda Brand and corporate health strategy as and when required
• Communication of Asda’s achievements on health through the Asda Magazine and Health Matters Website (and other communication channels as appropriate)
• External representation of Asda at external meetings and expert working groups
• Completion of the School Matters website and any related marketing activity

| Requirements and Qualifications: |
• Registered Nutritionist or Public Health Nutritionist with the Nutrition Society or Registered Dietitian with the Health Professions Council
• A proven track record as a nutritionist within the food industry
• Strong nutrition or dietetics degree (minimum 2:1)
• Strong communicator at all levels both internally and externally
• Good knowledge of food and nutrition policy and regulatory issues
• Passionate and enthusiastic about delivering change
