| Description: |
Lead the South team of Regional Security Managers covering all stores and Distribution centres. Role is to minimise loss from all types of criminal activity and to investigate the key causes of criminal loss. Working alongside the DPIM to jointly reduce elements of Total Loss. |
| Responsibilities: |
Manage security resources on the Division to ensure best value for money. Provide effective and guidance to the Divisional team on security/loss matters. Identify, investigate and implement solutions to resolve key loss issues due to criminal activity or breaches of company policy. Ensure investigations are carried out professionally in line with company procedures and legal requirements. Support the business on 24*7 basis through the EIC as required and to colleagues during serious incidents. Provide security training and coaching. Drive front end loss reduction. Represent Asda at relevant external meetings and build good working relationships with key external contacts including the Police. |
| Requirements and Qualifications: |
Ability to understand the 'grey' and deal with complexity - clarity of thought essential together with sound judgement and the ability to make tough decisions. Ability to develop or ideally already possess a detailed understanding of retail crime, relevant legislation, interview skills, Best practices and the Asda disciplinary and grievance procedures. Demonstrate strong leadership, influencing and coaching skills. Good general management skills and ideally experience of managing a remote/field based team. Able to balance your professional risk assessment alongside the practical needs of their business. Must have the utmost integrity and the ability to handle sensitive and confidential information. Ability to interpret and evaluate data effectively and to carry out investigations and manage the case load of your team. Talent for building effective professional relationships and trust. |
