A great opportunity has arisen for an experienced Buying Manager to lead the Bread category. With a combined turnover in excess of half a billion pounds the In-store and Bought in Bread categories are the engine room of the Bakery and contain some if the biggest brands and suppliers in the FMCG arena as well as provide the exciting strategic challenge of driving our in store bakery operations forward . Critical to success is the ability to lead and develop a strong team to deliver a stunning set of results. |
| Responsibilities: |
- Develop and deliver an industry leading bread strategy
- Act as an ambassador for ASDA Bakery in the wider market
- Lead the team to deliver a stunning set of commercials
- Achieve #1 growth in the market on volume and value
- Build S4L plans that offer outstanding value by continually lowering prices for customers
- Drive operational improvements in our suppliers and through our in store bakeries
- Build and manage a supply base to deliver against Buy for Less targets
- Manage inputs such as pricing and inbound service
- Work with and influence other functions across the business

| Requirements and Qualifications: |
- Industry expertise - not necessarily in a Buying capacity - great commercial skills are the key!
- Able to set a compelling vision and put a strategy in place to deliver
