Job Title: IT Project Manager
Location: Asda House, Leeds
Description: As a Project Manager at Asda you will be responsible for estimating, managing and reporting on the IT elements of the overall project costs.
Coordinating all IT project resources.
Building, developing, and growing effective business relationships alongside the IT Programme Managers, CRM’s and BA’s, specifically during the Delivery elements of the ISDLC.

Delivery of the project objectives:
• Lead the IT project team and manage all activities and resources for assigned projects through the full IT project life cycle – on time and within budget.
• Work alongside the IT Design and Development teams to estimate ISD project resources and budgets.
• Work alongside the IT Design and Development teams to implement solutions, including prioritising the different elements of a project.
• Create and execute project plans to meet the project scope.
• Prioritise project activity to meet the overall business project objectives.
• Maintain the project milestone plan and manage project stage gates
• Identify project issues and refer serious problems upwards to the Business project or Programme Manager.
• Maintain the project risk register and ensure actions are in place to manage the risks.
• Track and manage individual project budgets in line with PMO guidance.
• Understand, prioritise and manage changes in scope – to timescales, costs, resourcing, and 3rd parties.
• Delivery of project products in a serviceable state including hand-over to service delivery teams.
• Adhere to Asda project management best practice and ISDLC methodology.
• Ensure compliance with Global and In Country IT standards.
Financial control
• Manage the IT elements of the project budget on behalf of the programme and project sponsors.
• Work with the IT Commercial team to manage 3rd party service provider contracts.
Reporting
• Prepare and deliver regular project communications to all key stakeholders in line with ISDLC standards
• Make recommendations to ensure the project progresses in the right direction and ensure issues are resolved adequately
People:
• Ensure personal KRA’s are in line with overall project delivery
• Identify ISD resources required and assign individual responsibilities.
• Motivate the ISD project team to meet tight deadlines.

Requirements and Qualifications: • Strong interpersonal and team skills
• Commercial and Business awareness, with particular respect to the ISD function
• Ability to build confidence and good working relationships with customers and stakeholders
• Strong Project management skills, preferably with a recognised project management qualification (PMI being the standard at ASDA).
• Capable of managing own workload with minimal supervision.
• Comfortable leading a multifunctional team, including Wal*Mart ISD and 3rd party suppliers.
• Consistently works within the IT LC.
• Influencing skills up to business project and programme manager.
• Strong communication skills.
