Job Title: IT Project Manager - Delivery Team
Location: Asda House, Leeds
Description: As part of Asda's IT Delivery team, you will report directly to the Delivery Programme Manager for Multi-Channel, Retail & Logistics based at Asda House in Leeds. Working alongside Business Analyst's from the IT Design team, you will be accountable for delivering innovative and fast-paced solutions aimed at our on-line business, our stores and our depots.
Due to the nature of both the industry and the business areas you will support, candidates must be able to embrace change and be comfortable working with 'virtual' teams based in various locations and time zones around the globe.

Responsibilities: Delivery of project objectives :
• Lead the IT project team and manage all activities and resources for assigned projects through the full IT Lifecycle
• Work alongside the IT Design and Development teams to estimate IT project resources and budgets
• Implement solutions in conjunction with the IT Design and Development teams
• Create and execute project plans to meet the project scope
• Prioritise project activity to meet the overall project objectives
• Maintain the project milestone plan and manage project stage gates
• Identify project issues and escalate where necessary to the Business project or Programme manager
• Maintain the project risk register and ensure actions are in place to manage the risks
• Track and manage individual project budgets in line with the Programme Management Office guidance
• Understand, prioritise and manage changes in scope - to timescales, costs, resourcing and 3rd parties
• Delivery of project products in a serviceable state including hand-over to the IT Service Delivery team
• Adhere to Asda project management best practices and the project lifecycle methodology

Reporting :
• Prepare and deliver regular project communications to all key stakeholders in line with the project lifecycle standards
• Make recommendations to ensure the project progresses in the right direction and ensure issues are resolved adequately
People :
• Ensure personal targets are in line with the overall project delivery
• Motivate the IT project team to meet tight deadlines
• Recognise and reward effective team and individual performance
